Anna Cox Monthei was an artist and student of photography back when photography was not simple and women were not encouraged to do much of anything outside of trying to survive and work on the farm out on the prairie. She bought a Kodak Brownie camera in 1917. She filled it with roll film and a mastered exposure, focus, composition and timing. She utilized every setting on that camera. She photographed what she saw around her for over 40 years as she watched her children grow up and have children of their own
